ParticipantHi,
I have two sliders above my front page masthead, one full width image and a 24 second self-hosted movie sequence. However, the slider-animation between the two does not play properly, it seems to lag or glitch or something. Is this because my video file is too large or something? Or is there a fix for this?
Thanks! 🙂

ModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! How big is your video file? Please keep in mind that the browser will buffer the video first before playing the very first frame of the video. Please try to use a shorter or smaller video file size.
Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

ParticipantHi, I´ve compressed it from 13MB to 3MB now, without much effect. Do you any maximum size-recommendations to avoid such issues?
Thanks! 🙂

ModeratorHi there,
Background video size should be around 1MB. To speed up your site, check this link : https://community.theme.co/kb/performance
You can check your site speed with this tool : https://tools.pingdom.com/
Hope it helps.

ParticipantHi, thanks. I´ve been doing some troubleshooting and it seems the issue is not related to the filesize.
Problem is that the slider-animation fades to white in transitions, even when my slider animation settings says e.g. “curtain from right” or any other setting…
Any idea what could cause this?

ParticipantOh, problem solved. Seems my cover-image was the source. May have been too large…
Thanks anyway! 🙂
