    Hello,

I’m setting up my site using X Theme, using a ‘staging site’ via WP Engine. All is well, except When I go to install Slider Revolution I get:

“The plugin does not have a valid header.
    Downloading install package from http://accubuild.staging.wpengine.com/wp-content/themes/x/framework/plugins/revslider.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /nas/wp/www/staging/accubuild/wp-content/plugins/revslider/

    Plugin install failed.”

The plug-in does NOT appear in my list of plug-ins, and the plugin zip file does not show in the the theme’s ‘X_Package’ folder I’ve downloaded from Envato Market’s Themeforest. Please help!

    Thank you,
    Drew

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

So I walked through the thread, my homepage is already set to ‘a static page’ in the reading settings. I’m actually using the Integrity 1 demo content as a guide. Next, the thread asks you to manually install it by going to wp-content/themes/x/framework/plugins/… but no such plugin exists in the ‘extensions’ or in the plugin editor. It’s actually the only one missing.

In that case, please give us access to your WordPress admin and FTP so we could check.

    Thanks.

    Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! The file revslider.zip which is the Revolution Slider installer is on x/framework/plugins/ directory. I can download that from the URL you given above minus the ellipsis [...]

The issue is there is an revslider folder on the /wp-content/plugins/ directory which is half empty, this happen sometimes if you attempt to delete an plugin and interrupted for some reason.

What I did is completely delete that existing revslider folder and download the revslider.zip from the URL you given above and install it manually.

    Hope it helps, Cheers!
