Hello-
The slider revolution plugin is not installing as a plug-in. Would you be able to help me fix that?
December 12, 2013 at 12:50 pm #1482Hey,
So if you go into the Plugin section in your WordPress admin panel you do not see the Revolution Slider in the list?
December 12, 2013 at 12:53 pm #1484After I clicked install – this is what it said to me:
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. /nfs/c07/h02/mnt/179831/domains/abigaildoerr.com/html/wp-content/plugins/revslider/
Plugin install failed.
December 12, 2013 at 1:13 pm #1487Hey,
Go to “Plugins” in the WordPress admin panel and check if the Revolution Slider plugin is active. If yes you can use it and everything should be fine, if you want to make sure that you are using the latest version you also can deactivate it and then click Delete. After that when you install X it should not give you the error message from above.
December 12, 2013 at 1:42 pm #1489Hi there,
So, I can’t delete anything and the Revolution Slider is not active and won’t install or won’t become active. Another part of the error message is: “The plugin does not have a valid header.”
December 12, 2013 at 1:56 pm #1490Hey,
So the Revolution Slider is in the list but can’t be activated or is not even in the list? Try deactivating all other plugins and activate the X theme then activate the revolution slider manually.
December 12, 2013 at 2:25 pm #1493So I did all of that and still no luck. For clarity: The plugin “Slider Revolution” won’t install. There is an error. All of the other plugins will install and activate.
It won’t show up on the “Plugin” list but it will show up when “X” is the selected theme under “Appearance” and says “Install Plugin”
I tried several things including deleting the .zip file through the ftp. Deactivating all other plugins.
So sorry about this, I hate to be a bother!
December 12, 2013 at 3:20 pm #1500Problem solved. I had to go in through the FTP. Thanks!
December 12, 2013 at 3:44 pm #1506No problem at all! Just glad to know you got it figured out. 🙂
Just out of curiosity, did you already have Slider Revolution installed from a previous theme, or had you purchased it before? Or was there simply an error upon trying to install it via X? Were you trying to upload/install it manually, or did you use the automatic installer included with X?
If you could let us know, this will help us to look into the issue a little more and understand why you happened to experience an issue.
Thanks!
September 15, 2015 at 1:02 pm #389575I am getting the “The plugin does not have a valid header.” When I try to install slider revolution. I went to install in manually, but it is not even in the zip folder in the extensions folder to install it with the theme.
September 15, 2015 at 2:20 pm #389692Hi there,
Have you checked on wp-content/themes/x/framework/plugins directory?
Please double check and confirm. Thank you.
September 16, 2015 at 11:08 am #390821Once I found it through that pathway. I installed it manually and it is running.
September 16, 2015 at 12:31 pm #392995Glad you were able to figure it out 🙂
October 30, 2015 at 12:02 pm #646517I got this message & could only get to this by going to :ADDONS:EXTENSIONS
didn’t show up under plugins at all.

October 30, 2015 at 12:03 pm #646520Also how do I get to the “FTP” or “wp-content/themes/x/framework/plugins directory?” So I can try it that way
