Hi, I’ve done a slider on a website I’m currently designing and even though I’ve set the layer grid size for the tablet and mobile (which I’ve proportionally resized from the desktop large size, so it should all fit without the design being thrown out), it’s not displaying correctly. I also have a couple of issues with content on the home page not showing when the page is resized.

    The website is: thecaravanbuyers.com
The slider only appears on the Home page.

    1. On the ipad and also the ‘Large’ screen view option in Cornerstone, the right side of the slider is cut off which is where I’ve put the text and animation, so you only get to see edges of things coming in and out! It doesn’t improve if I view it vertically or horizontally.

    2. On a mobile, the images show but nothing else, the text or graphic layers aren’t displaying at all.

I’ve used the viewer you have in Cornerstone to see how it will look on different sized devices and I get the same problems with it.

I’ve tried several things including changing the sizes on the ‘Layer Grid Size’ and turning the ‘Overflow Hidden’ and ‘Respect Aspect Ratio’ on and off to see of any of it makes a difference but it doesn’t and I can’t find any info anywhere on how to fix it!

    3. When viewed on an ipad and mobile, on the Home page, the text under the slider ‘Welcome to the Caravan Buyers!’, this heading shows, but then the rest of the text under that ‘Are you thinking how do I sell my caravan?’ down to the ‘Get your FREE valuation’ button doesn’t show and I have no idea why!

Hope you can help with this!

    Thanks

    Hi there @core365!

We’d be more than happy to help, great looking site by the way! 🙂

I do indeed see the display issues mentioned, would you mind providing some WP-admin login details in a private reply please so we can take a look at the settings and structure. Once we have those we can go through step by step and get this resolved for you.

    Thanks!

    Hello There,

I have logged in to your site and check your settings. Some of the layers is outside the canvas area as soon as the screen gets smaller. You should reconsider your layer positions and make sure that it would look good in various screens (http://prntscr.com/aseebf). If necessary, you can duplicate your layers and hide/show it on a particular screen sizes to compensate with your design. You can easily do this by selecting the layer and click the visibility tab. For more details on how you can create a auto responsive slider, perhaps this tutorial could help.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me! I’ll take a look at the tutorial and let you know if there’s any further issues, but there’s still the problem with some of the text not showing which is on the page, not part of the slideshow:

    Thanks!

    Hi there @core365,

    Thanks for writing back!

I’ve checked all your settings and in the end it turned out to be the hide based on width option was checked in cornerstone for the second row of the introduction section. I’ve removed that and it should all be working for you now. 🙂

    Thank you!

Hi, thanks for doing that, I didn’t realise there was even an option for that! At least I now know what to look out for if it happens again.

    Cheers
