I almost included this in another Forum post I just put up where I am having a similar problem with my Gravity Forms not showing up in the dropdown menu as well. But thought better to break them up.

I saw there were some Slider Revolution templates I could get from their site if I purchased the product I’d like to play with, so I bought a license via Themeforest and activated it in the WP install. But when I select the Slider Revolution element in Cornerstone, I only see the one that came with the X Theme in the dropdown menu. Not the others I’ve have installed and I can see and edit through the Slider Revolution interface in WP.

If I use a Text element and manually put in the embed code it works. At this URL you’ll see two sliders at the top of the page. The first is the one that came with the theme and the only one that shows up in the dropdown menu (see attached file). The second I downloaded and manually put in the embed code.

On a second note, I just purchased another theme for a client (via a Themeforest account I set-up for him — so he’d “own” it), and I see there is v4.4.2. Mine is still at 4.3.4. I am running a Multisite WP install, but everything is up to date and clearly, X Theme is validated. I assume I am missing something really stupid here.

    Hi Tommy,

Please update your theme and cornerstone to latest version and see if that fixes the issue with the dropdown menu.

The latest version numbers as of this time are: (http://theme.co/changelog/)

    X Theme 4.4.2
    Cornerstone 1.2.4

Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

    Thanks

Don’t think I communicated myself well. I know I have to update the theme and plugins myself (everything is up to date according to the WP install, but clearly this isn’t correct) to have the latest version. I am just not getting an auto update for X Theme, which the guide you linked to above says is highly recommended.

Just as an aside I do like to give complaints where complaints are do and if there is some other place I can post this where people who might be on the fence about buying this theme can see it, let me know and I’ll post it there.

This theme flat out rocks at every level! I’ve used several of the “popular” advance WP themes for a number of projects. The three most used: Enfold, Avada, Divi (to name just three). You guys/gals are far superior IMHO for several reasons:

    1. The Stacks options are stellar and a great jumping off point to start development.

    2. Your documentation is second to none (love the videos), and yes I do actually read/watch them :). And I guess because of the popularity of the theme, I could have asked like 50 questions here, but all I have to do is a quick Google search and the info I need from the forums is right at my fingertips. I have a .txt document running into the thousands of lines with all the tweaks and custom CSS you have provided people.

    3. Cornerstone took me a little to get used to, having gotten used to using Visual Composer and the Diva page builders for months. I will admit a few times I got a little upset and almost threw my hands up in the air, still making a few missteps, but I can see once I get it down (only been using it for a week or so), Visual Composer will be something I will not go back to (or want to go back to).

    4. Support. Quality support. Honestly, I’ve seen time and time again when I do a Google search and drilling down in your responses here you often provide an amazing level of detail. I assume, but maybe you don’t know this, you often provide info other themes would say, “we don’t support that question, we suggest you look for a WP developer to help you.” I don’t think I’ve ever seen that said here and I’ve read dozens if not far more of the “technical” and/or “in the weeds” threads here.

Just had a brand new client buy a license. Another long-term client planning on buying four next week.

I’ve been playing around with all these “advance” themes to find one I want to use for pretty much every project. You got me hooked :). And when I send out an email to my 100+ current but mostly former clients I’ve built WP sites the last 5+ years showing them what I’ve done with my site, and saying “wouldn’t you like something like this?” I bet I sell more.

I made a New Years resolution years ago to take a few minutes each week to thank somebody for a quality product, and you are that in spades, instead of spending that time bitching about a sh*tty product. You know maybe Karma and all :).
