I recently updated to the latest version of X and now the slider on my homepage has disappeared.

The site address is myfisd.com and the slider in question should be to the left of the “News.” section.

    Any ideas?

    Hey Jim,

Please ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/

I also see you’re using UberMenu but don’t have a Google Map. Please disable Load Google Maps API in UberMenu > General Settings

    Thanks.

    Hello Jim,

Thanks for updating in! Are your referring to this area http://prntscr.com/eeyq3d? The slider did not show up because the images didn’t showed up. I have investigated and it appears that you are using Jetpack plugin. Since you have enabled Photon module, please try to disable this module and test your site again. By the way, before you enable Photon, please consider to know the limitations of using Photon in your site. You can check it here:

    Hope this helps.

Yes, that is the slider I’m having trouble with, but disabling Photon doesn’t appear to have any affect. And we’ve been using Photon for quite some time now without any problems so I don’t understand why it would suddenly malfunction.

Another issue I’ve noticed is when I go to edit the page with Cornerstone it starts in skeleton mode and won’t let me out. Toggling the skeleton button has no effect. Could this be related?

Honestly, I’ve got half a mind to just roll back to our last backup and be done with it… but we would lose nearly a week’s worth of work.

    Hello There,

Thanks for updating in! I have inspected the home page and the slider is showing. You can check out my screenshot here: http://prntscr.com/ef0jis

I also edited the homepage in Cornerstone and I do not encounter any issue at all. Please check out my screenshot: http://prntscr.com/ef0jub

I would highly recommend that you clear your browser cache or use private browsing mode. You can make use of Chrome’s incognito mode and test your site again.

Are you using CloudFlare? The Cornerstone builder takes place on the front end, so sometimes Cloudfare tries to cache its resources. This can cause stale data to be loaded. To resolve this, you’ll need to disable Cloudfare when the builder is in use. This won’t effect front end performance at all.

    1. Log into CloudFlare and navigate to “Page Rules”
    2. Add a new rule using this URL pattern: *.example.com/*?cornerstone=1
    3. Under custom caching, enable “Bypass cache”
    4. Turn Performance “Off”

If you’re still having issues editing a page, you may need to login to Cloudfare again and purge the cache.
