    Hey Guys,

I am trying to get a sidebar on our website that shows the previous blog posts on the side next to our current blog posts on the blogging page. I have set up a side bar to do this, then I loaded the sidebar into the Main Sidebar widget in the customization page. I then selected our blog page and set the layout to be content left and sidebar right, however no sidebar appears. Is there a step I am missing? I can’t seem to get the thing to show up!

My site is http://www.dominionpayroll.com and I am using X 4.4.2

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

Would you mind providing your admin details so that we can check your current setup why your sidebar is not showing up?

    Thank you.

    Hi again,

Thank you for providing the credentials, I tried to login but provided credentials don’t work. Can you please confirm the credentials if they are correct?

    Thanks!

    Hey there,

I just double checked and those are the credentials. I also logged in myself and got in successfully. Give it another go and let me know if you need anything!

    Thank you,

    Hi there,

Thanks for updating but I can’t login too. Would you kindly check again? The username seems invalid.

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

Please select one of content layouts with sidebar under Customize -> Layout and design.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

When I select that option it forces a sidebar on every page of my site, which I am trying to avoid. I want the site to remain full width and just put a side bar on our blog and latest news pages. Is there a way I can accomplish this with some custom CSS or code?

    Thank you,

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing back. You need to select that globally in order to avail sidebar to any page. You can select “Layout-Fullwidth” or any other blank template for the pages you don’t want Sidebar.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Cheers!
