latest WordPress version as of today
X-child Theme
X-shortcodes version 2.0.8I downloaded x-shortcodes version 2.0.9 from inside X admin panel, attempted upload to WordPress, and I repeatedly get a fail – message says the destination folder already exists and then provides location. Is there a resolution to this? I get the same error message when I attempt to use the suggested Contact Form 7 plug-in. Says folder already exists, and fails.

ChristianModeratorHey Michael,
In your FTP, please delete the plugin folder then upload the new one.
Hope that helps. 🙂

Shortcodes 2.0.8 (or 2.0.9- not sure)Hello- I’ve done as you suggested, but there is no improvement. In fact, I now get the error:
“x-shortcodes/setup.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist”It’s been since last week that I’ve been able to work on the web site. Can someone please take a look and determine what is wrong?

SupportMemberHi Michael,
After you have deleted the plugin folder now again try to upload the plugin and that should work fine.
Thanks

Michael BParticipantHi again-
Version 2.0.8 is the same version I had before I started down this road. As I mentioned above, I was attempting to upload/install short codes version 2.0.9. 2.0.8 was already there, and apparently was causing problems with my menues (see previous comment). In the list of installed plug-ins, it displays the version I had before (2.0.8.).
Aren’t we wanting to install 2.0.9?
In any case, the menu problem continues, after clearing cache and logging out and back in. Ugh.
