Hi there,
I have:
WP 4.1
X Theme 3.1.1
Visual Composer 4.3.5
Shortcodes 2.6.1Before updating X theme and the visual editor (per your email and download links), I had working tabbed content, with call to action buttons in my site. After updating, when in the visual editor, I only see text/code and don’t have the GUI editor options, which is interferring with modifying anything in the buttons that I had there. Also I tried adding in new shortcode buttons and after selecting a button in the X shortcode menu, I get a something like…
[button href="#" title="Title" target="blank" shape="square, rounded, pill" size="mini, small, regular, large, x-large, jumbo" block="true" circle="true" icon_only="true" info="popover, tooltip" info_place="top, right, bottom, left" info_trigger="hover, click, focus" info_content="This content will only show up if you have decided to show a popover."] I Am A Super Clickable Button! [/button][gap size="-1em"]
…added to my text window, but no ability to modify it through the GUI. Those options used to sit below the text window…I would scroll down to modify it – that is all missing.
I have disabled all plugins, reactivated the shortcode and visual editor plugins, but nothing made difference.
Please advise at your earliest convenience and thank you.
Becky
December 29, 2014 at 1:34 pm #172934Hi Becky,
Just tested the latest version of Visual Composer with the X3.1.1 on my local setup and it’s working fine. Please provide us the URL of your site so we can check for any errors.
Thanks!

We can’t view the screenshot. It returns a 404 page not found. Please see https://theme.co/x/member/forums/topic/release-notes-x-v3-1-1-x-shortcodes-v2-6-1/ and follow the solutions outlined in the Additional Notes first. If that doesn’t help, please give us access to your WordPress admin and FTP.
Thanks.

Please advise, thank you.

I logged in in your site and Visual Composer works fine. Can you give us more details about the problem?
Thanks.
January 9, 2015 at 5:12 am #179708Hi,
On the home page I have tabbed content. When try to edit the text in the tabs I only get the code / html version, there are no GUI options as there was before. For example if I want to edit or add a button I immediately get
[button href="#" title="Title" target="blank" shape="square, rounded, pill" size="mini, small, regular, large, x-large, jumbo" block="true" circle="true" icon_only="true" info="popover, tooltip" info_place="top, right, bottom, left" info_trigger="hover, click, focus" info_content="This content will only show up if you have decided to show a popover."] I Am A Super Clickable Button! [/button]
added to the text window, but none of the graphic interface options are available below the window to edit any of that. For example the button that are already there have an icon called “money” that I want to change, but what are my other options? I don’t see any list and it looks odd as it is, but now I’m stuck with it.
I can edit buttons in other places on that page. Why doesn’t it let me edit buttons in tabbed content anymore?
January 9, 2015 at 12:40 pm #179933Hi there,
Thanks for updating us and sorry for the confusion. I have checked your VC and also on our test-sites what you are facing is actually not an bug or issue but the default functionality of tabs. It’s a limitation of Visual Composer, you can’t add elements inside of elements that use the text editor.
If you try adding a button to a content band you will see that the graphical editor for the button will load. But the only way to add content inside tabs and other elements that use the text editor is to use the shotcodes button on the text editor without the graphical interface. It has always been like this even in past versions.
I hope this helps clear things up, thanks!
January 12, 2015 at 12:15 pm #181387okay, thank you. And these are the icons I can use in buttons? http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/icons/
January 12, 2015 at 11:31 pm #181704Yes, that’s correct.
Thanks.
