Is there some type of WordPress client portal that works well with the X theme and is free (or REALLY cheap)?

I want to really customize the portal as much as possible mainly pull data from another SQL database. For example, I have a database with a customer table and that table has a line in it with the following info…
– customer_id
– primary_contact_name
– primary_contact_number
– primary_contact_address
– business_name

I want to pull that data from the table with maybe a customer SQL query then show it in the portal. Maybe I need to even go as far as developing my own plugin for WordPress to access my custom database…

I guess I really just need to know how I would go about creating a basic customer portal in WordPress maybe?
