platinumParticipantHi,
Firstly, thank you for this powerful theme which enable me to build website with endless possibility. However, I have a problem in setting tiny gaps between (marginless) 5 columns.I want my columns to be set up like the screenshot I attached. Currently my page looks like this –> http://www2.nc.com.my/
Thank you.

ZeshanMemberHi there @platinum,
Thanks for writing in!
I’ve checked your site and it seems you have applied the borders on the columns. In order to add tiny gaps in between the columns, add the borders to the Text element inside the columns instead. So for example, remove the borders from your columns and then add following CSS code in each Text element inside the column under Style field of its settings (see: http://prntscr.com/7qeof1):
border: 1px solid rgba(197, 190, 190, 0.91); border-bottom: none;Thank you!

platinumParticipantHi, I have another question but it is a different topic.
I have made many changes in Integrity customization which involved changing colors, fonts, deleting unwanted items, change background, edit margins and so on. You can check it in my website http://www2.nc.com.my/. I want to know with all of these changes, am I changing the core files of X theme ? and I want to know if I update X, do all of these customizations will be affected once I update X theme?
I made css customization in Cornerstone and WordPress customization only. This is because I want to update X, but I was too afraid that my website will break once updated as I want to avoid this from happening. I know I have read about everyone talking about child theme which I did not go through about it yet because Im running out of time to finish this website.
Thank you in advance.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
No, you haven’t modified core files.
CSS code in customize, style.css file or cornerstone pages won’t be altered after updating.
Thanks.

LelyModeratorHello There,
If you add all this CSS in Appearance > Customize > Custom > CSS and on Cornerstone > Settings Tab > Custom CSS this will not be affected upon X update because it is save in the database. It is still advice to backup your site before update. As long as you didn’t update/edit the X theme files that you can find in wp-content/themes/x , you’re safe to update. Please note that if ever you want in depth customization, it is recommended to setup setup a child theme. This allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released. After your child theme is setup, please review how we recommend making template changes in Customization Best Practices.
Hope this helps.
