Hello! Thanks for all the great help here so far. I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface! I need to find more YouTube videos and How-Tos! I have two questions relating to the blog right now.
1) In my customizer – blog – I have set: Columns = Two. Is that for the Masonry section? How do I get a Blog Only menu to show up on the blog page and the specific blog posts? I feel like this demo page has that: http://demo.theme.co/integrity-6/ – click on blog and you have the blog posts and then a different menu on the right side.
2) Is there any way to have the blog posts show up in a line vertically with the picture to the left and the content to the right? Would that be Standard but with limiting the post content on the index?

Ooh! Is it Sidebars? I’m still wandering around trying to find info. I set up a Sidebar and then I tried to put some widgets on my sidebar but it didn’t show up automatically…

#1. This is Recent Posts shortcode within Sidebar. It’s not supposed to show automatically, you need to place the shortcode – http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/shortcodes/recent-posts/
#2. It’s only possible if you use “Standard Layout” for the blog page.

Hi Rupok! Thanks so much. I think you gave me two answers to the same question.
#1 is there a guide on how to use shortcodes?
#2, back to my original question, how do I get a sidebar that I can add widgets to on my blog? I switched to Standard mode under Customizer -> Blog and that did not make a Sidebar pop up. Where do I go to say I want “this” sidebar to “only” show up under blog posts and not to show up on other pages.

You can copy and paste the shortcodes in a text element or Raw Content Element in Cornerstone or WordPress Classic Editor.

2- Click Edit page > Under the blue update button on WP Admin Editor, you will find Page Attributes > Page Template > Select: Default

I feel like we are maybe not talking about the same thing… I appreciate your response though!
So, I want a sidebar on my /blog
I went to Pages –> Blog and under the blue ‘Update’ button in the regular editor, it says “Page Attributes’ and then lists Parent and Order. Under Parent it says (no parent) and then lists all the pages in my site.How does that help me get a sidebar on my blog. Am I using the correct terminology? A sidebar is the vertical bar that can show up on pages and you can add ‘widgets’ to them such as buttons, your recent blog posts, and links to other places in the website.

The sidebar I set up, I made sure had ‘Blog’ checked for the page. It also has checked to show up on the blog index. But it doesn’t show up in the /blog/ or the one test blog post I have up. See screenshot.Am I in the right place? 🙂 Thank you!

SO Let´s do like this:
Go to Appereance > Layout and Design > And Select Content Left Side Bar Right.
Once you do that you will have your side bar, there.
On your home page where you dont want a side bar.
Click Edit page > Under the blue update button on WP Admin Editor, you will find Page Attributes > Page Template > Select: Blan k No Container Header Footer.
That should fix the issue 🙂
