Hostgator had me install this plugin with my wordpress:
Greg’s High Performance SEO
Is this compatible with XTheme Renew 8 theme?
Is there something I should do in X Theme first? I watched the two videos and there are not specifics as to how to on my pages. Any additional videos and/or support would be great.

May 8, 2014 at 10:24 am #42143Hi Susan,
Thanks for writing in! X isn’t tested with that plugin, and we can’t guarantee 3rd party plugin compatibility so I’m afraid I’m not sure.
Are there any specific SEO needs that you have? X is SEO optimized from the ground up, and will do a great job of getting your pages ranked without much else. For fine tune adjustments you may need another plugin though. I know that WordPress SEO by Yoast works quite well in X.
May 8, 2014 at 6:01 pm #42350i thought that X optimized for SEO.
I just din’t know if it was automatic or if there was something I had to do. I did go into webmaster tools in google to crawl my site and I am above the fold for my products and site. I am not on the first page for change your beliefs now with no spaces. If you put spaces between the words there is no search result. So I wanted to try to get at least on page 1 for that.

Yes, X is optimized for SEO. It will do it’s best to make the page markup suitable for search engines, and HTML5 compliant. This is all done based on the content in your site. If you want to fine tune things and add additional tags and meta data, you’ll need to use an SEO plugin.
Take care!
May 10, 2014 at 8:14 am #42888So I could use the plug in for tags and meta data, yet the plugin is untested for XTheme. Yes, I am pleased with my content and don’t really want to mess with it. It is kind of precious to me.
On my Home Page http://changeyourbeliefsnow.com/, I have “Change Your Beliefs Now” in the upper bar. If you use that as a search in duck duck go, yahoo or bing, I come up in the search engine. Google no. So I was wondering if this could just be a google thing and I just should not worry about it.
BTW, are you going to have future options for tags and meta data?
Also do you recommend a plugin and some training on youtube or somewhere else for entering tags and meta data?

May 11, 2014 at 3:51 pm #43246Hi Susan,
Have you set your privacy settings to block search engines? I confirmed that your site’s page rank is invalid, well if you just change your site information a while ago then maybe it may take days for google to crawl again.
And because of many SEO plugins available today, I think it is best to give users an option of what they want to use. And not sure if we should implement it on x, let’s see 🙂 .
You could check this guideline : https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35291?hl=en
Hope this helps.
May 16, 2014 at 10:21 am #45135I went to settings in my dashboard and could not find privacy settings. I did not specifically try to block any search engines, I just added x Theme and used it with my wordpress site.
That being said, I requested a crawl using webmaster and my site is searchable now. I am now showing up above the fold with spaces between my name.
Thanks and very excited.
May 17, 2014 at 4:00 am #45357Glad that worked for you Susan.
Thanks!
