    Hi

Love the theme, love the cornerstone tool. But I do have a question in relation to SEO…

Cornerstone uses AJAX technology (which I know nothing about) but I have read previously that it can effect SEO as it adds more code to the site.

One of the reasons I chose Theme X was for the “clean code” SEO claim.

My question is – how does Cornerstone effect the site’s code (if it all) from an SEO perspective?

And does using an extended demo – such as Church in my case – effect clean site code for SEO claim?

    Thanks gang… love your work!

    Hi Leena,

    Thanks for posting in.

Cornerstone’s ajax should have no effect to SEO optimization. That process is done while you’re building your content as a backend. And search engine doesn’t have any access to site’s admin/backend. Even if they wanted, they can’t as still need to login to your site just to get in.

A search engine can only analyze what they see in the front, so it shouldn’t have any issue with ajax. Even if the front has ajax, it still don’t have any huge effect in SEO, or none at all. Search engine mostly follows specific data structure of your site, it will not pick any data just because they are content, text, or string.

    Thanks 🙂

ok so do you have any recommendations for keeping the site code well structured/clean for SEO purposes? e.g. is it best to avoid animated H1s or cards etc?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there,

The animation is okay for <h1> and cards without affecting SEO.

    Thanks.
