Hi. I am struggling to get my static pages working with Yoast SEO as tested on Bing webmaster. http://www.mysalus.org
On the Home Page (Cornerstone). The image (I am assuming the logo) indicates it does not have alt text tag and I can’t figure out where to add the tag test to address this. I looked in Conerstone and in the Customizer but cannot see where I can address this issue.

I did add the suggested code to my child functions php which solved the H1 tag as indicated by https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/multiple-tags/

    Thanks

    Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Upon checking your site, the logo has already an alt tag (http://prntscr.com/a5m1ef). It could mean that it is referring to the images added in your slider. Please edit your slider and find your image layers. Simply click on the image and in the attributes tag, insert a custom alt text. Please see this screenshot (http://prntscr.com/a5m1wu).

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for taking a look. I will look at the slider pictures as that is probably the issue now that I think about it.

    Hi,

May I know what tool you are using to check your site.

I checked your homepage and can see the title in the code.

    Hi there,

    1. 500 is an internal server error – it’s even viewable on browser’s console. I checked it but I don’t see any 500 error, could it be your site is blocking search engines and the robot?

    2. The site is down – it isn’t on my end. But maybe it’s down for robots and crawlers like the search engine. Please make sure that “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” is toggled off at Admin > Settings > Reading

    3. 302 Redirect – It’s URL redirection, do you have any? It’s no more related to the theme or plugin. Unless it’s behind the under construction page, but it isn’t.

    4. Missing title tags – There is a title tag, I can confirm it from the code. Unless it’s referring to different title tag which I’m not sure which. Are there any other details other than this error?

    5. H1 tag is missing – Homepage will always have an <h1> automatically because it’s usually a landing page. I confirmed that by viewing its source code. About the other 9 pages, I need to know their URLs.

I’m not really sure how it handles SEO crawling, I’ll need to check that out too.

    Thanks!
