    Dear Support,

    http://www.dietvisits.com

    A)
Would it be easier to buy a second X license for updates:

    1. How to buy a second license for?make sure it’s for the same site?

    2. With the new license would I be able to do one click automatic updates for X, WP Visual Composer, Cornerstone & revolution slider

    OR

    B)
At my dashboard I’m getting messages to update X theme, WP Visual Composer, & Revolution slider

    3. If I download the above files (updates) to my desktop and via FileZilla I open, for example, X folders in the top two quadrants of filezilla and then select all files in the left lower quadrant, upload and overwrite their counterparts on the right.
Is this the right method to update
X theme, WP Visual Composer and Revolution Slider

You have already helped me before with similar questions but new updates keep coming up and I would like to get it down right and stop bugging you!

    Thank you so much,

    Sam

    Hello Sam,

Thanks for writing in! You can only assign one license per X theme installation. You cannot have two licenses just for one site. Once you have validated your site, you will receive update notifications right in your dashboard and you will be able to do one click automatic updates without any hustle. However, if you have permission problems and other server issues, you may not be able to successfully do the updates right in your dashboard. And if that case happens, you can always resort to manual update by uploading the latest files using ftp into your server.

Please do not worry if you always need help when there is any updates. We, the support staff is here for you to help. It would also be great if you also ask around first to the community forum before doing any updates. Please do not hesitate to contact if in doubt. We are always be glad to assist you in anyway we can.

    Best Regards.

    Hi Sam,

Thanks for updating. If you want to update theme manually then you need to remove the old theme folder x from wp-content/themes/ and place the new theme folder. Don’t drag and replace files because you might get some older files that might create issues. Do the same for plugins on wp-content/plugins/ directory.

For the plugins, you can also just upload them from Plugins > Add new option from your WordPress Dashboard. All the extensions are available on your themeforest download (extensions folder).

You can review our update guide.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Cheers!

    Dear Support,

    1. All updates worked just fine. I followed the steps exactly as they are in the update guide link you provided.

    2. After I went through many complicated Forum querys I finally (& proudly) managed to validate my site for updates. May be this will help someone else:
Finally I noticed that for some reason the URL provided opposed to the license was that to my WordPress backend NOT to my site. So I revoked the license and assigned the correct URL to my site and it worked!

    Thank you so much again

    Sam
