Safari automatically changes http:// to https:// for test users when we do not have a secure web site. I have tried clearing caches, removing all Safari history, etc. but this still occurs. Is there something in the theme that would make Safari do this? In Chrome and Firefox, typing in the url http://www.digitalsmith.ca takes us to http://digitalsmith.ca, but in Safari users get a 404 error because it is directing them to https. Can you possibly help with this?

Thanks for writing in! I have tested with Safari and it’s loading fine over http:// – http://prntscr.com/e95p4h
Looks like it’s related to your browser’s cookie or something.
Cheers!
February 16, 2017 at 2:39 pm #1374041Did you actually type in http or did you put in digitalsmith.ca and let Safari do it’s thing? We cleared the cache at the host server end yesterday, but have not been able to properly test and see if that worked.

As said earlier it works with http:// on safari. Here goes a screencast on my end – http://recordit.co/qF1dnfIHq5
Hope this makes sense.
