    Hello,

I’m having issues with my Icon shop. I can’t seem to get a sidebar in the shop to work. I have a topbar, navigation, masthead and below I get the shop. When I activate “Use Global Content Layout” under Customizer > WooCommerce it get’s me a sidebar at the entire length of the website. That’s not the way we need it to be. The top section of the website, including the slider below the masthead, shouldn’t get a sidebar. Basically what we are looking for is this: http://demo.theme.co/shop-integrity/ That means it’s got 3 products in a row and next to that a sidebar with a shopping-cart widget, a search bar and some productfilters. I hope you can give me some pointers as to what to do.

    Thanks in advance!

    Delana

PS: in a private comment I’ll give you a link to my shop.

    Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Please check that your Global Layout in the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Layout and Design > Content Layout is set to have a sidebar. It is either “Content Left, Sidebar Right” or “Sidebar Left, Content Right”. Only then you can use a sidebar in the shop page. Also, please make sure that in the Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Shop Layout is not set as fullwidth.

For the widgets, you can add the WooCommerce Widgets in Appearance > Widgets. For more details about the WooCommerce Widgets, please check this out: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-widgets/

    Hope this helps.

    Hello Rue Nel,

I have it all set as you pointed it out (see attached). The thing is it shows a sidebar on the entire length of the website where I just need to have the sidebar in the content section of the shop, just like the link in my previous post shows. Is there a way to do this since apparently the full length sidebar is a feature of Icon? It’s like the only feature I don’t need…

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Delana,

Each stack has different layout and design and icon stack have the sidebar as full length.

    Home

You need to select integrity stack if you would like your sidebar to be inside the content area.

    Thanks

Will that affect the design I’ve done so far?

    Hi there,

If you switch stack then your content won’t be changed. But each stack has it’s own design and layout, so you might see some difference for the default pages such as blog, portfolio etc. If you have created pages with Cornerstone then it won’t change. You can always switch back to your current stack.

    Cheers!
