I have set up a rev. slider with 5 slides and a total of 2 to 3 type layers each. When I view these on smaller device or phone using Safari responsive mode or Rev Slider device viewport, none of the type shrinks according to device, thus being cut off on the left and right sides of the screen. 2 to 3 of the type layers do appear to be responsive, but most aren’t.
I have seen some discussions stating that you cannot use the alignment tools and must drag layers into position manually (I wish I had known this before doing all of this work, as I certainly didn’t see it any tutorials or instructions). If this is the culprit, how do I make the type centred on the screen, rather than the default left alignment? Also do I have to recreate all of the slides I have already made?
I have all responsive options in the layers Behavior tabs enabled, grid-based. Is there something I am missing?
Thanks,

I always use the alignment tools without problems, but might be some issues I am personally not aware of.
In the mean while please look:

December 1, 2016 at 9:40 am #1277520Thanks Joao,
I have watched this video several times, but will watch again. However, my results are inconsistent with I am seeing here. I’ve attached a few more screen caps to demonstrate. If you refer to the attachments, it looks fine until you get to 800x600px screen resolution, and then it seems that some of the type layers get much larger when they hit this break point. Going down to iPad Pro it looks fine again, but then all smaller screen sizes misbehave again. Is there a layer dependent setting that might have some impact on this?Unfortunately I cannot provide a URL for this at the present time as I am working on localhost.
IanDecember 1, 2016 at 11:11 am #1277613I may have a little more information to add. I had originally set my Layer Grid Size to 1024 as per the “Slider Revolution Responsive Slider 5.0” tutorial, but I just increased the Layer Grid Size width to 1600px, and the type on each slide behaved consistently with other type layers on that slide. Perhaps it is related to longer lines of text adjusting based on breakpoint edges they are touching, while shorter lines of text do not?
December 1, 2016 at 1:04 pm #1277754Hi there,
Thanks for wriitng back. If you just follow the Revolution Slider Documentation then you should get it done because that’s already explained there. If you find something not working as expected then we can assist on this but we need to check your URL for that. Kindly spend some more times on the documentation as it’s the best place to get it sorted.
Cheers!
February 12, 2017 at 8:45 pm #1368378Hi, I have set up my sliders according to instructions, I believe, and the adjustments to type that I have made in the mobile viewport look great in the Revolution Slider preview, but when I try to import the slider into the theme and use Chrome or Safari responsive mode, the type is all different sizes and moved all over the place. Can you please help?

To make slider’s layers responsive, please check this link : themepunch.com/revslider-doc/layer-responsive-behavior/
Hope it helps.
February 13, 2017 at 9:18 am #1369014Thanks for these instructions Christopher, but I have been through these steps, watched the videos, and checked my settings no less than 4 times, and the slides appear to be responsive in the Revolution Slider preview, but do not actually work on my mobile device or responsive dev mode in Chrome and Safari. Did you look to see the symptoms it is exhibiting?
February 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm #1369343OK… It appears I have fixed this. The Widgets section was showing me that I was using my corrected slider, but then I discovered that I also needed to go to the Page settings, and set it in “Slider below the masthead”. It was displaying the incorrect slider version, regardless of what widgets said it would display. I guess Page Settings overrides widgets settings?
