I am trying to implement the slider on my home page. I have a mp4 as the background. Any time I update the slider text it either doesn’t update when I refresh the page or it takes hours to see the update. I have reproduced in Chrome, IE and Firefox and have cleared the cache in all browsers.

Any ideas?

Thanks for writing in.

From your given detail, it looks like you have caching at your site. It can be wordpress plugin or your hosting caching feature.

Please provide your admin login in private for closer look. Or contact your hosting provider if they have any caching featured installed.

Caching simply holds your site’s content/codes for certain duration, thus changes you’re adding does not appear in real time.

Hi Dale,

In that case, please make sure you do not have any hosting caching. I’d advise contacting your web hosting provider.

You could also try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Thanks for looking at this.

I deactivated all plugins excluding the VC and the ones required for Theme.co. Still seeing the issue.

I reached out to my host and they indicated that I don’t have any caching and that I add “?nocache=1” to my URL to test the caching.

Issue persists unfortunately.

Any other thoughts?

Let’s hold off on this issue. It’s turning out that it just may be me not understanding the start and end times on the slider.
