Hello,
I have been working on this a good few hours now so figured it’s time to write in.
It appears I have the most recent version of WordPress, X-Theme and Revolution Slider.
I followed both videos and the slider manual but no go. The slides dispay %Post%, when in use, instead of any post content. Also when added a layer to the slider template, there is no option to click.
Website and login info to follow. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for writing in! The inserts option should be there next to the Text / HTML label. Open the Revolution Slider Templates (not the slider) then click Edit Slides (blue button) then Edit Slide (green button).
Hope it helps, Cheers!
March 11, 2015 at 10:52 pm #225623I should have been more specific I guess. This is on the slider template but it doesn’t anything like the one in the video, the one I linked before. It looks like the one below:
Regardless if I can see that I put in the meta %post% manually and that is all it shows on the slide.
Since I gave you my password so you should have been able to login to see what I was talking about.
March 12, 2015 at 12:48 am #225671Update: I was pretty sure I had saved it but he slider was gone. I readded it so you can see the slider in action and tell what I am talking about.
Thanks!
March 12, 2015 at 4:41 am #225784Hi There,
Sorry for the confusion, I did checked the slider and template, and they were configure correctly. I did manage to replicate the issue on my local dev when I selected the slider template instead of the actual slider on the page. Please try to reset the slider on your page and make sure to select the actual slider.
Thanks!
March 12, 2015 at 10:42 am #225972What an extremely buggy product Revolution Slider is. Is there a way to clear the sliders history or do I need to delete the pluggin and add it back? I deleted the Template and slider and recreated them. Template is now named Testimonials template so there is no confusing the two.
When I add the slider to the page it is still looking for the old template for some reason. The new slider is associated with the new template but it’s looking for the old template. I also notice that when I create a new slider or template, after the old one was deleted, that is used a new slider ID#, almost as if it still thinks the old version is there. Very frustrating.
This slider business is taking far longer than it should. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.
March 12, 2015 at 10:50 am #225975Alright never mind. Apparently you can’t have spaces in the Alias. That is a pretty basic thing they should tell you, which would solve all kinds of problems. I found it on a forum somewhere.
The content now shows but is stretched beyond the borders of the slider so I guess I just need to mess around with formatting options. Will do that and reply if there are any other issues.
So note to others, make sure there are no spaces in your alias name of the slider or template!
Thanks
