Hi There;
I’m loving this theme, but losing my momentum spending hours trying to find and fix before posting here. Please help.
I’m trying to make a slider on my home page with parallax scrolling. In Revolution Slider if i add a picture the parallax animation does not work when enabling the setting on the background image.
The forum ses to add image as layer instead of background, then the parallax will work. Yes it does BUT then, the layer is not responsive on chrome only on IE.
Catch22, please assist.

After further testing, on different screen sizes and browsers. It appears Revolution Slider itself is the culprit.
Background image in Rev Slider will not parallax animate. And if you add the background as a layer the image will not centre on smaller notebook screens. Even on big screens when reducing the size of the browsers window you can see that re slider cuts off the image as you decrease/increase size of the window.
Ive added a background slide and then a layer slide background together, if you looking at the published site you will see how the responsiveness changes. To see the problem it would be best if your window in your browser is not maximized.
Thank you
April 3, 2016 at 10:02 pm #865278Hi there,
Thanks for posting in.
Parallax are meant to move elements from one position to another. Hence, it doesn’t need to be responsive.
If it will always fill the entire screen, then you will not see any movement and hence parallax has no purpose. Please note that Slider’s parallax is different from parallax that we have on the theme.
Would you mind providing a screen recording of your issue? Currently, there is no content to scroll to, hence, parallax will not move. Is it the parallax when you scroll, or parallax when you move the mouse over the slider?
Thanks!

I’ve answered the questions below and uploaded video. Link below.
To note i’m strictly talking about the settings in rev slider, not the theme settings.
Lets not worry about the parallax problems for now to avoid confusion. The primary issue regardless of parallax settings is that the image is cutting itself off horizontally & vertically when adding an image as a layer instead off a background. (you will NOT notice this error on screens 18″ or upward, as these sizes accommodate the error, you will see it on notebooks 15″ screens etc, you may still see it on a larger screen if you minimize your browser window).
This does not seem right, as if you use layers on your sliders that would mean your images will not center themselves consistently regardless of screen size. And you will be forced to only use background images on Rev slider to accommodate. What would the point of layers be then ?
This problem is only happening to layer images, and not background images in Rev slider, further proving the responsive problem on layer images.
Basically how do you get the same responsiveness using background images but adding the images as a layer, this is what is needed. Ive tried, Full, Cover, Stretch settings etc. no luck.

thank you…
April 4, 2016 at 8:25 pm #866891Hey there,
Slider Revolution layers are responsive but that would depend on your Grid and layer settings. For the Image layer, the setting should be set to cover. Please see https://cloudup.com/cySslyfG6M8 (play in Firefox) for demo. To learn more on how to use Slider Revolution, please see https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/
Thanks.
