As you can see on http://www.thesmartestspoon.com, the slider isn’t stretching to the full width on wide screens (beyond 1240px), even though in the revolution slider settings control panel, i have set it to full width.
Neither of the other sliders i made are stretching either.I had made the sliders on a grid size of 1240px width, but since it’s set to expand full-width responsively, shouldn’t it do that to fit larger screen sizes as well?
I tried the wordpress+cornerstone+visual composer control panels as well, and their layout options, removing all the paddings, containers, etc, but to no avail, so it must most probably be an issue with the revolution slider
Am really distressed about this issue, please help 🙁
January 16, 2016 at 6:09 pm #749278Hello There,
Thanks for writing in! yes you are correct. The slider is already using the fullwidth slider layout. Please do check your image. It seems that your gradient image is just layer. A layer will only display as is with its dimensions within the slide. You can make it as a slider background instead.
You may remove the gradient image layer and make it as a slide background image. http://prntscr.com/9r1nks
Hope this helps.
January 16, 2016 at 9:50 pm #749435Yeah, the gradient layer is an image on top of the other layers
But I need the whole content to upscale and fit larger screens, not just the background
Slider revolution’s documentation clearly says that it supports this
How do I enable the same?
January 17, 2016 at 12:41 am #749510Hello There,
Once you have placed the image as a slider background, you can position it as top center and set the background fit as cover. For more details, please try to check out this video:
Hope this would help.
January 17, 2016 at 1:44 am #749557I’ve already seen the video, and it’s not helping
I DO NOT need the grey gradient as a background layer, i need it as an IMAGE OVERLAY
And i need the image overlay to UPSCALE when viewed on larger monitorsAnother issue is that the “align – grid based” function is not working
Could you please give me relevant help

Currently you added the gradient image as slide layer, please remove it and add it as main background. See the attachment.
Hope it helps.
January 21, 2016 at 12:51 am #756429Just. Forget it.
You still didn’t understand the problem i was having, and gave me the same answer you’d given earlier
Anyway, i solved it using a different method, redoing the whole slider in a larger grid sizeJanuary 21, 2016 at 12:57 am #756437Hi,
Glad you were able to figure it out.
Have a great day! 🙂
