Hey there,
I’m trying to get the revolution slider on the homepage of http://flemingland.wpengine.com (User: demo, Pass: landscape), to display properly. I can’t get it to display the whole images, without cutting off the top or bottom, and without overcalling the image.I have the layer grid size set to 1200 x 550, the original image sizes are 1200 x 550 and the source settings>background fit alternately set to both contain and (%,%) 100, 100, and I can’t get it to display right.
Can you guys help?!
Thank you!

Thanks for writing in.
The grid size doesn’t have to be the same size as the image, but should have the same aspect ratio to avoid clipping/cropping.
1. Set your slider size to 900×413, that way, you 1200×550 will work. You can use this tool to calculate it http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/aspect_ratio/
2. Set your slider to AUTO or Full-Width, aspect ratio isn’t respected with Full-screen
3. Enabled Respect aspect ratio option on same slider settings where you’re setting the grid.
4. Edit your slider background fitting/size to Cover and not % %.
Hope this helps.

I have another question about sliders though.
What is or should be the resolution / aspect generally speaking? I have always had this issue with sliders, and it would be good to know the proper way to set it up from the beginning and I have been unable to find any documentation on it. Is there a max size of 1000 px or something like that that made 1200×550 not work?
Thanks for the help!
March 27, 2016 at 9:06 pm #854662Hello There,
Most of the time, the image dimension should be at least 1200×800 in pixels. The best thing to do is to make your slider responsive so that the image will display properly. Perhaps this video could help you:
Hope this helps.
