Thanks for writing in!

You don’t need to activate revolution slider as long as X is activated on your site, this plugin comes bundled in X and it works without activation.

I have noticed the same problem – after update it started to ask for activation. Same thing happened to Visual Composer – it’s asking for activation as well.

Hi all,

Thanks for chime in! It seems you guys are confused about the term “activation” that shown on Revolution Slider page. It’s not actually plugin activation rather license activation. If the plugin was not activated (as a WordPress plugin), you won’t even see the page.

Revolution Slider is an Integrated Plugin of X. You don’t need to activate (license) it to use with X and there is no license key provided for integrated plugins. However if you want the premium features (premium slides, support from themepunch) then you need to purchase a separate license from CodeCanyon.

Hope this makes sense.
