Either I’m blind, or the nav buttons just aren’t displaying. That, and the slideshow appears to only have one slide, even though multiple slides are there. coincollectingenterprises.com – do you need login access or is this one of those “obvious” things I missed? Thank you.

Thanks.

Thanks for updating! Please refer to this thread first and follow the steps – https://community.theme.co//forums/topic/revolution-slider-not-working-after-update/page/2/#post-370261
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
August 26, 2015 at 5:15 pm #370457Thank you. I had tried disabling cdn, caching plugins. Resaving, adjusting from full width to to various fixed and other sizes.
Seems stuck on just being one slide. If it’s third party and can’t be resolved, I’ll just trash the plugin. The one I had before was “okay” but seemed bloated to load on all pages when I needed it on only two.
If you have further advice, it’d be greatly welcome. Otherwise, I’ll switch back. Thank you.
August 26, 2015 at 10:04 pm #370718Hello There,
Thanks for updates. Can you please verify which slider is in question that doesn’t have nav buttons. This is what we are seeing in our end:
It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party vSlider plugin. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.
Most of the time, out dated WP, theme and plugins may create issues in your site. Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)
Our latest versions are:
X Theme: 4.0.7
Cornerstone: 1.0.5
Visual Composer: 4.6.2
Revolution slider: 5.0.4.1You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/x/member/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.
Thank you.
August 29, 2015 at 10:35 am #373038Vslider is a plugin that works and I have used for years. However, it’s updated, never updated, and, I believe, has too much bloat in page loading.
I put it back to have page functionality as revolution slider just plain wouldn’t work. With login credentials, if you wish, you can look at the revolution plugin to see the slide that was made with multiple slides.
I had disabled all caching programs and vslider when working with revolution slider to try to get rid of conflicts. Also followed advice and resaved the slideshow. Nothing I did worked.
The screenshot you see is vslider. I wanted to replace it with as close to possible user viewing with revolution slider.
I also was contemplating something similar to the ethos demo 2, but before messing with things too much (and it’d make the post carousel look funny anyway), thought to just duplicate what I had with the bundled slider with x theme.
Only so many hours one can throw at something before cost versus reward just leads to giving up on the new plugin (which is where I am right now).
August 29, 2015 at 8:49 pm #373232Hello There,
Thank you for the feedback! Please edit and re saved your slider. Once everything is updated, since you have installed a caching plugin (WP Fastest Cache), please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
Thank you.
