    Hi there,

I think you should fix the video first by removing the white area (it’s part of the actual video). It should only contain the exact video without empty frames.

When done, please let us know so we could check. It simply display white area due to those frames.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

But if that is correct, why would it finish on a black screen? I don’t think it is to do with the white frames.

Also, I have realised that there is an extra problem with having the background video selected via the WP interface, and then a Rev slider playing on top of it – the video takes longer to load than the slider, so the slider layers load too quickly (unless the page is cached)… The solution to this problem must be to select the video to play under the slide via the Rev Slider interface right?

    Thank you,

    Paul

    Hi there Paul,

Hope you’re well today and thanks for writing back, for the issue with the slider loading first, in the slider settings > Performance and optimization, enable “Lazy Loading” and set it to “All”.

Also I’d recommend setting the background of the slider to the video, rather than transparent and then have the slider as the overlay, rather than setting the background video in the customizer. 🙂

    Thank you!

    Hey guys,

The slider is working OK now on desktop but not on mobile where the poster image is not displaying…?

    Thanks

    Paul

    Hello Paul,

Please note that Video Poster Image will only work if you’re usingOptional Background Video in Slider Settings:Above Masthead under Page settings. This is a theme settings, where in it will switch to poster image on mobile when Optional Background Video is set.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

Thanks for the info, I thought that was the case, but bearing in mind the thread above and the problems I have been having trying to get the video to end on a that picture, how do I get either the same video or the picture above the masthead on mobile?

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hi,

Thanks, but do you think that advice refers to an older version of Revolution Slider? Those settings don’t seem to be available any more, unless ‘Poster image’ is now ‘cover image’, and if that is the case, how do I stop the cover image from appearing before the video loads on desktop?

    Thanks

    Paul
