When I go to my website I get this in the header:
    Set-Cookie:_icl_current_language=nl; expires=Sat, 05-Jul-2014 17:43:34 GMT; path=/

In the same request (with that I mean the full page load including javascript) the cookie _icl_current_language is set to en. I have disabled all plugins and turned them on one by one. I had no problems until I had activated revolution slider. I have switched off all plugins except Revolution slider and WPML Multilingual CMS+WPML String Translation. I still have the same problem. When I disable the revolution slider js for every page the problem is gone. Of course this will come back when I enable it. It also happens when I put the javascript for the revolution slider in the footer.

Note that I have looked in every request to see if it changes the cookie. It seems to that it happens from a javascript and not via the headers.

I post the problem here because WPML can not help me (http://wpml.org/forums/topic/revolution-slider-causes-a-problem-with-wpml/#post-430786 ) and I have not bought Revolution Slider apart from this theme. Maybe this problem is solved in an update of Revolution slider?

    Edit: some extra info:
    – Everything is up-to-date (including the theme)
    – Revolution slider is up-to-date to the version that you provide (version 4.3.8)

    Hey Webby,

It might be that Revolution Slider and the WPML plugin is conflicting. Please try disabling the WPML plugin then let us know the results.

    Thanks.

    Hi
I think that you miss the question. The point is that WPML works (do you know WPML??) until I enable revolution slider. Since you have contact with the developer because you have purchased the plugin from them and I did not I can not contact the developer neither can I get an update (the newest version is 4.5.0). Disabling WPML won’t work since it will disable multi language support on the website. The temporarily solution is now disabling revolution slider and the permanent solution is that revolution slider fixes this problem. They claim that they support WPML but it does not look like it works. Can you contact them for me and ask them about this?

    Thank you.

    Hey Webby,

Really sorry for the confusion in our previous reply.

While contacting the Revolution Slider Author, can you please try one more thing?

Please go Global Settings of Revolution Slider, then Turn off Include RevSlider libraries globally & Turn on Put JS Includes To Footer

Hope that helps, please respond back what you find after applying the trick above. Meanwhile I’m contacting to Slider Author.

    Thanks for your patience.

P.S: For further investigation can I’ve your website URL login info as private reply here please?
And follow the WPML instruction here: http://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/creating-multilingual-sliders-with-revolution-slider-and-wpml/

Sure, I set posts to private.

My IP is dynamic and will change the next time you reply. So can’t really rely on that. It would be nice if you could disable it temporarily. So other support could check too.

I think even if rev. slider changes those cached cookie, your wordpress will still use the correct one. That is according to your site’s response headers. And the affected by that are javascript that pickups cookies from your browser, well not sure what are they 🙂

And by the way, Rev. Slider 4.5.95 is now available with latest X 🙂

Forwarded the issue of thread subscription.

    Thank you!
