RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. You can’t generate API key like before but they still works. So if have already validated your sites with API Key then you don’t need to do anything for those. For new sites, just validate verify new purchase and then assign your site – http://prntscr.com/au0yyg
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers!

Ben561ParticipantSo does it matter which site domain I assign to any of my purchase codes? Right now I have 12 purchase codes on my account manager with no domains assigned to them.

Ben561ParticipantAre the purchase codes I have in my license manager attached to the specific API codes that are on the websites?

JadeModeratorHi Ben,
If you haven’t attached yet the purchase codes to any domain name to validate them and you wish to then you can assign a domain name to any purchase code. One purchase code is considered as one licence where you can attach a production and live URL. Please note that you can assign any purchase code to any domain name.

Ben561ParticipantYes I understand.
My concern is;
All of my sites have verified API codes which I set up when I purchased the licenses in which I used the respective purchase codes.
In my license manager on this site there are no domains attached to the purchase codes except one. Are the API codes on my websites attached to the specific purchase codes in my license manager? If so, I would need to have a record of the API codes and the purchase codes they are attached to. If not I could just attach any domain to any of my purchase codes in the license manager regardless of the API codes I already have on the sites.April 20, 2016 at 11:20 am #892102
John EzraMemberHi Ben,
Thanks for updating the thread and sorry for the back and forth. It seems that when everything was consolidated to your current account here on Theme.co that you have lost track of the API keys previously set. Actually the reason is because we did away with API keys so that use can just use their purchase/license codes to validate their sites.
Your previous API keys should still work as is so you really don’t need to do anything on that end. However, I believe you are wanting to know which license is connected to which site. It doesn’t really matter much which license is connected to which site as one license works with one active site at a time.
If you need to know for tracking purposes, the only way is to revoke the keys from your current sites. Then manually assign the URL via your manage licenses page here. Then you can use the license/purchase code to re-validate your sites. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s a one time effort to get your URLs matched and listed properly.
You don’t need to do this step if you don’t want to as things should work as is and you can just work on the future license from this point on. That is the workaround though if you did want to do that.
Let us know how that goes. Hope this helps clarify – thanks!
