Can you tell me how to add a shadow to the text in my sliders?
Thanks.

January 8, 2016 at 11:33 am #737660Really? Is it that complicated to add a drop shadow to text in the rev slider? Would have thought it’s just an option I overlooked.
January 8, 2016 at 12:57 pm #737739Hello Peter,
Sorry for the confusion but we asked for URL of your website to see the current setup as that would help us to assist you in a efficient way. However to display text shadow, under Style menu of slider revolution editor kindly select boxshadow for text element.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
January 8, 2016 at 3:00 pm #737861No worries, just frustrated sometimes with things that seem like they should be so easy to change.
Does it matter that I’m still using Visual Composer? Started the site before Cornerstone came along. Would love to migrate to Cornerstone, but it basically means rebuilding the site, right?
Meanwhile, I don’t see that Style option as you show in your screenshot. I’m using revslider 4.6.5 by the way.

Yes, you’ll need to rebuild your content. Both builders are not cross compatible in terms of content.
About the style option, please check this http://revolution.themepunch.com/documentation/#layer-content
And you’ll need to add text-shadow directly to advance editor, like this
text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #000000;
We usually request URL because we can easily tell which version and setup a site is using. Without any back and forth 🙂
Thanks for understanding.
January 10, 2016 at 10:49 am #739659Ok, that worked – thanks!
Really bummed that I have to rebuild if I want to go with Cornerstone. Will I be able to use my existing sliders and other content once I switch, though?
– Peter.
January 10, 2016 at 11:44 am #739692Hi Peter,
Thanks for updating. Yes the existing slider will be the same and no need to change this. You just need to re-build the pages/posts or portfolio items if you used Visual Composer to build them.
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers!
