All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive. Thanks!

August 11, 2016 at 7:07 pm #1127912So if I restored a previous version I am screwed, I can no longer edit in Cornerstone?!?!?
August 12, 2016 at 12:34 am #1128348Hello There,
Thanks for updating this thread! Please keep in mind that this thread was started last June 8, 2015. Few weeks after, our developers have made some changes in Cornerstone that you can be able to save the revisions. As of SEPTEMBER 9, 2015, we released an updated Cornerstone version. You can check the changelog here: https://theme.co/changelog/#cornerstone-1-0-6
Now if you are using the latest version of Cornerstone, you should be able to revert back to any point in time that you have made the changes in your page provided that all those changes were made in Cornerstone. Take not that you can only edit pages or use changes that were created inside Cornerstone. Any changes that happened outside of Cornerstone will not be saved nor can be reverted back in Cornerstone.
Hope this explains it briefly.
August 30, 2016 at 9:03 am #1153377I am using the latest version of cornerstone and it did not work at all.. I just did a restore and it totally screwed my page! NOT HAPPY AT ALL.
August 31, 2016 at 2:22 pm #1155594Hi there,
Cornerstone has no revision on its panel. Using WordPress’s built-in revision may work if both post content and cornerstone data are synced with same changes and date/time. The problem with WordPress’s revision is, it only works on the changes made within the editor/content. It works at some point, but may fail and we’re still looking a way to improve this setup.
Do you still have a backup of your page?
Thanks.
September 27, 2016 at 12:49 pm #1192668Has this been addressed since? I just deleted a page that took a day and am really hoping that the work isn’t lost.
September 27, 2016 at 1:41 pm #1192723Hi There,
Please read the last comments on this thread by Rue Nel and Rad.
Thanks

December 16, 2016 at 1:35 pm #1295900Just reverted to a past revision only to discover Cornerstone inexplicably doesn’t support this. Found this thread. Add my vote. A glaring omission here and no warning that restoring a revision will erase all Cornerstone work.
December 16, 2016 at 5:30 pm #1296122Your vote is counted. 🙂
December 18, 2016 at 11:23 pm #1297735Well, I just ran into this problem. And now I can’t edit my page anymore. Which means I have to redo the entire thing. Words can’t describe how angry this makes me.
As a long time customer, I am voting with my wallet. I will not ever buy another X-Theme license ever again. Never. Nor will I recommend it to my colleges. Cornerstone is not user friendly at all. Can’t restore edits, can’t create copies of pages and edit them. It seems like you’ve done nothing but strip away basic functionality.
Why don’t you have a WARNING by the Revision button?!
December 18, 2016 at 11:34 pm #1297740Hi there,
Revision is WordPress default feature, we only did is syncing cornerstone changes with WordPress’s revision date, but it may not sync on some cases. Maybe it can be disabled so the user won’t even able to click it, but that something we can’t enforce on every user.
But we’re not closing the door on this issue, we’re still on it and finding a better way 🙂
I personally check if I’m able to add button on revision page, but no luck. Possible by modifying the actual file, but it’s against WP standard.
Thanks!
December 19, 2016 at 12:36 pm #1298492this has caused me and many people a major inconvenience. Now I have to redo my entire front page. Not happy at all
