hi im using ethos and my search results are cluttered and instead of my site description appearing, google search pulls excerpts from random posts. It’s really ugly and it’s been like this for months. I thought it was a webstools issue but I have rank, my site crawls error free, yet my search results are horrendous.
How can i fix. I’m using Yoast but the words “admin” and “view post” is directly from this theme. How can I remove it so it is legible?

September 1, 2014 at 4:36 pm #96538Hi Missy,
Search engine optimization is beyond the scope of the X Theme support.
However, if you have already created a XML sitemap, try submitting it to the google webmaster tools (https://support.google.com/sites/answer/100283?hl=en).
If you don’t have the required knowledge, you may wish to consult a SEO person, or a service like WerkPress or Elto to assist you with this. Thanks for understanding. Take care!
September 1, 2014 at 4:59 pm #96557There must be something in php that needs to be removed in order to remove the words “ADMIN” and “VIEW POST” from the results. Those words are from this theme.
September 1, 2014 at 11:26 pm #96677Hi Missy,
Thanks for writing in.
May I know when did you set up Yoast plugin.
It seems you haven’t set yet a meta description for the site when google crawled it,
and google instead get some random text from the content for the description.September 2, 2014 at 12:11 am #96702Hi,
Thank you for responding. I installed Yoast in June.
September 2, 2014 at 4:09 am #96750Hi Missy,
I can see Google last accessed your site on Sep-1,-2014.
You must have set the meta title and description of the homepage after that date.
Let’s try to wait when google crawl your site again. Thanks
September 2, 2014 at 10:38 am #96963It you look at my original post it says my description has been like this for MONTHS.
I did not add a site description and title today.
Google crawls my site just fine. I’m on the first page in search results it is just the description that is a jumbled mess.
Is there a way I can put my site description in the header? so it doesnt pull random posts?

Thank you for writing in!
Upon checking, the description is coming just fine in the source of your website (see: http://prntscr.com/4j0ruy). Upon searching a bit, I found this for you: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wordpress-seo-by-yoast-metadescription-not-working-properly#post-2095140
Thank you.
