Scott HParticipantHi,
The Theme keeps getting better and better. Thanks for all the hard work and quick support and updates. I have two questions:
1) Is there a way to remove the “Leave a Comment” on blog posts? I disable comments on the page and also tried the “disable comments” plugin to turn off comments site wide, but the “Leave a Comment” text still shows although it doesn’t do anything. I tried inspecting the element in Chrome but couldn’t see the code for it.
2) Is there a way to disable all the Woo Commerce related code in Custom CSS. If we don’t need Woocommerce wouldn’t it make sense to get rid of the overhead?
Happy New Year!
Thanks!

KoryKeymasterHey Scott,
Thank you very much for your kind words! Always means a lot to hear that our users are getting a lot out of the updates. 🙂
I have added both of these items to our development timeline to look into. Fortunately, they’re both relatively small so they can likely be added to our next release. We will need to add in the functionality to disable comments, and it absolutely makes sense to keep the WooCommerce CSS out of the custom CSS when the plugin isn’t installed and activated, so we’ll definitely make sure that is improved.
Thank you so much for your feedback and observations so that we can work to bring everybody a better product!
Don’t hesitate to let us know if you need anything else.

Ralf KParticipant… i am also interested in getting rid of the “Leave a comment” line.
I will wait for the update.January 6, 2014 at 2:15 pm #4064
KoryKeymasterHey guys,
We have a fix in for this that will be available in the next update. You will be able to turn off comments like normal in WordPress.
Thanks!

Jon MParticipantHas this been done? Rather, has the next update taken place? I purchased my version of X in late February. I’d love to be able to turn off comments by post, page or article…leaving some on, but being able to specifically choose which items I allow posts for. Is that possible? Did the site wide ‘turn off comments’ update take place yet?
I see on the site where there is the Discussion tab under settings. I have gone in there and unchecked allow new post on articles. I also see in screen settings where you can remove what is seeing, where it says discussion. However, the Leave a Reply field is still visible, and I would like the ability to remove this on certain pages, or entirely. I want my home page of my site to not have a leave comments section. I have made it a page, not a post, using the static page feature, but having the leave a reply field there is not something I want.
My site is paintsopretty.com Thank you

ChristianModeratorHey Jon,
Please uncheck “Allow comments” in the Discussion tab in your page editor http://prntscr.com/349701
You may also want to watch this tutorial about enabling / disabling the comments.
Hope that helps. 🙂
