How have rel tags not made it into the build yet? It was stated back in 2014 that they would be implemented “in the next build”… Like numerous other features…
I’m wondering if this is something that’s ever going to happen, or if I should just start rebuilding with a better theme that actually allows us to utilize proper SEO standards and doesn’t constantly make its client base feel as though they’ve done something wrong when it’s actually the theme at fault?
One would assume that SEO-related features would take priority as SEO is one of the primary marketing points of this theme; it should be an even bigger priority with Google heavily penalizing sites using aff links that aren’t set to “nofollow”.

Thanks for posting in.
We can’t really tell if it’s going to be implemented on the upcoming major version. But yes, it should be an option available for users. It’s a bit tricky since not all links are from the theme since WordPress is a modular type of system where features are from different authors. I’ll forward this as feature request.
Thanks!
