    Hello,

I’m using ConvertPlug with the Renew Stack on my site:
    http://www.nimblesound.com

All of the newsletter links call up the same modal popup from ConvertPlug.

Upon submission ConvertPlug is set to redirect to https://www.nimblesound.com/thank-you/

However when I test the submission, it is not sending the email address to mailchimp (connected in the “Connects”) and the redirect never happens.

Ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

    Hello There,

Thanks for providing the informatino. I have logged in and tested your site. It appears that there is an AJAX error as soon as you submit the form. You can check it here: http://prnt.sc/eikrg6. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

And Since you have installed a caching plugin SG Cache, please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Hi Rue,

Even with all 3rd party plugins bypassed, ConvertPlug gives me the same result.

Screenshot of the only plugins active.

Also SG Optimizer always had the cache disabled, I’m using it to force https only.

I am still struggling with this.

I have narrow down the issue to the mailchimp add-on.

As a temporary solution, I have resorted to not using a 3rd party to collect emails but I still want the mailchimp integration.

I had my hosting company take a look at this also and they determined there is no security settings or permissions errors with my server that could cause the 403 error.

Additionally, they temporarily disabled all ModSecurity rules and that did not resolve the issue.

    Hi there,

Maybe the listing and MailChimp form doesn’t match with information it’s sending? I’d like to see your listing, would you mind providing your Mailchimp login credentials as well?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

Ooops, it requires Two-factor authentication. Can’t get it to check, please let me know when it’s okay to login and I’ll check it again.

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I checked and listing is okay, but

The redirect is not working because of CSS Hero animation plugin, I deactivated it and redirect works. Though, seems you’re activating CSS Hero animation plugin again, would it be okay to clone your site so we could test it there?

Currently, redirection works when that plugin is inactive. And then upon more testing, the admin ajax return 403 Forbidden error which could be related to security, and maybe that’s why it can’t reach your Mailchimp. And last your listing contains first name, last name, and email but your Convertplug only has first name and email. I deleted the last name field from your listing in Mailchimp.

Your site is live and I couldn’t do further checking, any action could put down your site. And I think the CSS Hero animation is important. Have you activated Mod_Security too?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

CSS Hero Animator can’t be at fault because I just installed it today.

One of the first things I did was deactivate all 3rd party plugins and I still couldn’t get the form to submit and redirect to the thank you page.

I currently have CSS Hero Animator deactivated, and it I am getting the same error, no form submit, and no redirect.

I tried an fresh install of X and ConvertPlug on a different domain (same hosting), I connected to mailchimp and received the exact same error.

So either the MailChimp integration is bad (in which case everyone would have this problem) or my server is not configured correctly.

I have had my hosting company temporarily disabled all ModSecurity rules and that did not resolve the issue.

Just did a completely fresh install of WP, X Theme, ConvertPlug, MailChimp Add-on all on a different domain.

    Used a different mailchimp account.

No third party plugins at all. Cornerstone was the only other plugin installed.

Only thing that is the same is the hosting.

    Same error.

There is virtually nothing else on the market that does what ConvertPlug does. I really want this to work.

I setup an Aweber account and connected it to test.

    Same error.

    It MUST be my host.

What can I ask them to check beyond what I already have?
