    I am running a child theme with Renew 4 “installed” and WP and X are fully up to date. The only thing in my child theme I’m using right now is the CSS file. I have searched quite a bit using the forums search and Google to try to solve this for myself. I’ve tried every combination I found. The closest I can get is to have the hover icon not to show, but the red overlay has been persistent no matter what I try. I’m desperate! 🙂

    I’d like for both the icon and color overlay to not happen on hover. Worse case, the color overlay be much less dramatic.

    Also, I saw a post from 2014 I think about possibly supporting excerpts on the recent posts. Is that a possibility yet?

    Any help is greatly appreciated! The site I’m working on is https://siltd.co/

    Hi Lane,

    Thank you for writing in! You can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer.

    .x-recent-posts a:hover .has-post-thumbnail .x-recent-posts-img:after,
.x-recent-posts a:hover .has-post-thumbnail .x-recent-posts-img:before {
	opacity: 0 !important;
}
