Hi Team,
I am trying to use 3 seperate recent posts elements to display different things;
1. Most recent blog posts (working)
2. Most recent portfolio posts (not working)
3. Specific category of portfolio posts (not working)I have tried using the exact slug in the “category” section but it doesn’t seem to find any (there are definitely posts there for it to find, categorised correctly).
Is there a trick to wording the category filter for portfolio items?
Cheers,

You need to add the category slug in the category field instead of the post type.

Hope that helps
July 21, 2016 at 3:30 pm #1097599Hi Paul,
I did test that, and I haven’t had any success with the exact slug for the portfolio category.
The exact slug for blog posts seems to be working fine but when I try it for a portfolio the element just disappears as it has nothing to display.
E.g. if I try the exact slugs for learning-spaces or government I come up with nothing. When you confirmed where to put the slug in the screenshots above did you see if any elements were found?
Any help would be great – the test elements remain hidden in cornerstone if they are empty which is a little frustrating.
Cheers,

Are you currently working on it? It logs me out, then when I retry logging in, it says username is invalid.
Thanks!

I have edited my host file already. Still, I cannot view your dev site. I am seeing another site that is not using the X theme. Could you please double check?
Thank you.
July 28, 2016 at 7:19 pm #1107887Hi Rue,
100% sure, that’s the only site I am currently developing and that’s the only line I currently have in my hosts file.
Let me know if you don’t get anywhere with it though – you definitely need to remove the http:// from the mbs link in the hosts file, that get’s auto added when I posted the line to the forum.
The dev site homepage looks like the attached

I tried adding it to my host file but I am not seeing your site too.
Are there any ip restriction in your server?
Kindly check again and let us know.
Thanks

I was able to view and logged in to your site. I already investigated the issue and it looks like the Post Type is missing in your Recent Post element. Normally, you will have to select either to display Posts or Portfolio items but this option is not present. Would you mind re installing X and Cornerstone?
Please providing us the ftp login credentials so we can take a closer look and fix the issue? This is to ensure that we can provide you with a tailored answer to your situation. Once you have provided us with your URL, we will be happy to assist you with everything.
To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– FTP Hostname
– FTP Username
– FTP PasswordDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thank you.
