Kalista ZParticipantHello,
Well after trying to use PLESK(windows Server) for my server, I found it to be a little bulky and all the support folks I talked to would try to move me to CPANEL(Linux server). I needed Windows since I have some backend routines that I am accessing through iFrames but then I realized why not just call the iFrames through a Linux site…
So I bought a (cpanel) linux domain service and copied my site and database to a sub-directory and pointed my domain to that subdirectory. I followed all the tutorials on how to copy a wp site over and also how to move to a sub-directory.
The live and original site is: http://pbpromos.com
The copied to site is: http://paintballpromos.frAll I have done after this is changed some pages and posts from English to French otherwise the copy and original site should be an exact match page by page and post by post.
PROBLEM: I have discovered a weird problem. I see a “Read More” at the bottom of the first post of the BLOG This does not exist in the original site. Here is the link directly to this: http://paintballpromos.fr/paintball-promos-blog/
FURTHERMORE: I did note that when I copied the database over, I noticed a record that had references to the PLESK system so I changed the links of a wp_options table record from what this screenshot shows: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fcdrj5whu38u01k/Screenshot%202014-03-24%2001.46.51.png
To this:
a:5:{i:0;s:103:”/wp-content/plugins/really-simple-captcha/really-simple-captcha.php”;i:2;s:92:”/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/wp-contact-form-7.php”;i:3;s:83:”/wp-content/plugins/sb-responseframe/README.txt”;i:4;s:93:”/wp-content/plugins/sb-responseframe/SB-ResponseFrame.php”;i:5;s:66:”/wp-content/themes/x/style.css”;}I do not think that this is the reason for the BLOG post problem, and everything else seems to work quite well.
QUESTION:
1) Do you have any ideas of why we see this “READ MORE”?
2) Do you see anything wrong with my copy to cpanel, and was the database change above of the wp-options field/record correct from you point of view?( I will give my password and access if you need it as a private message following this note for access to the copied site. )

SupportMemberHey there!
Thank you for explaining the issue.
1.) It is quite normal for wp to append the read more button when the post is set to show the summary or excerpt. You can remove the read more button and show the full length of the content on Customizer > Blog > Content > Enable Full Post Content on Index.
2.) To be honest I’m not really sure about the database query but as long as you’re not having any issues then I guess it’s ok.
Regards,
