I am wanting to have a different image show up as the main picture at the top of my home page each time the page refreshes. Here is my site: http://staging.thevineyardsofamarillo.com/. I read a few forum posts around this but wasn’t sure if it would be different for the Spa extended theme I am using with X theme.
Thanks.
February 12, 2016 at 2:22 am #792527Hello There,
Thanks for writing in! To have a different image show up at the top of you homepage, you can install Slider Revolution plugin, create a slider and have a different image on each slide and set it to display the slides in random order. You can then edit your homepage and assign the slider above your masthead in your homepage. Please check out our video walkthrough here:

Just to clarify, I am not wanting a slider at the top of my page but a static image, like is already there. I just am looking for that image to change to a completely different image each time someone visits the home page. So if they show up at our site on Monday, they are going to see a different static image than they did on Friday. So if I were to sit there and continue to refresh my own homepage, a different image would show up each time. Hope that makes sense.
I have used Revolution Slider and really like it. So maybe you are saying that Revolution slider can do that but I didn’t think it could.
February 12, 2016 at 11:59 pm #793867Hello There,
Thanks for the updates! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X that you can have a random image at the top of your header or in your homepage. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
Thanks for understanding. Take care!
