gien wParticipantHi,
I’m just trying to do a product validation for X theme on my URL but it neither accepts my X theme purchase code, nor any API Key I generate in Themeforest / Settings / API Keys menu. I’ve seen a lot of people seem to be having a similar problem. I just want to setup automatic updates but it’s not even allowing product validation.

Rue NelModeratorHello Gien,
Thanks for writing in! In validating your site, you must assign the license first to your domain before you can use it in your site. Please login to your account and assign the license to your site. After that, you need to go to your site’s dashboard X Addons > Home and insert the license code. To know more how to validate your site, please check out the updated article page in our knowledge base here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/
Hope this helps.

JackKeymasterHi there Gien,
Thanks for writing back. I’ve checked the site and the updates definitely aren’t showing even with a force check, though it seems your server can communicate fine with outside connections, so it should be working.
Could you take a full backup and then provide FTP details in a private reply please for us to try a manual update with a overwrite of the files via FTP.
Thank you!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I went ahead and updated your site manually. You are now running the latest X and Cornerstone. You can easily check whether it is validated or not by simply going to X Addons > Home. You must always make sure that you check out the latest changes in X by reviewing our changelog (https://theme.co/changelog/).
Please take note that X shortcodes and its functionality has been consolidated into Cornerstone plugins which you can install by going to X Addons > Extensions. To know more about Cornerstone, please check it out here: http://theme.co/blog/x-version-4-introducing-cornerstone/
Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

JackKeymasterHi there Gien,
Thanks for writing back!
I’ve logged in with the FTP details and removed X-shortcodes, everything seems to be working now, Cornerstone has replaced X-shortcodes 🙂
Let us know if you have any problems, we’re here to help.
Thanks!
