    Not sure what happened, or how to get it back, but after I installed the child theme the product categories are no longer showing on the shop page. The boarder is still there, but it’s blank.

    Any suggestions?

    Should I start a different thread to try and get the images for the products to all line up on the same line per row (from the bottom of the image).

    I’ll follow up with a private message with the url for both issues.

    Hi,

    I am not exactly sure where the categories should appear.

    Can you provide us a screenshot and indicate where it should appear.

    Thanks

    Hi There,

    Thank you for the screenshots.
    Do you have any custom templates on the child theme? I can’t see any custom code on your child theme’s functions.php file. From the looks of it, it is blank because you have not added a widgets on Appearance > Widgets >Woo Shop Sidebar. Try adding Woocommerce Product category widget and then try again.

    To line up your products, it would be best to use the same product image sizes. We can use CSS but it can affect resolution.

    Hope this helps.

    I just added the child theme and have not added anything to it as of yet. I’ll give the widget a try and let you know.

    Regarding the products, it’s easier said than done to have them all the same size because I’m getting them from different vendors and such. I’m not looking to have the images stretched to have the box be the same height, as much as I’m trying to have just the bottom edges line up. I understand that the top lines won’t line up at that point, but I’d like to give it a try to see how it looks and responds.

    Can you give me some css code to line up the bottom edges?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Please add following code in Customize -> Custom -> Global CSS :

    .woocommerce li.product .entry-featured {
        height: 256px;
    }

    Hope that helps.

    Both worked perfectly. Thank you very much!!!

    I have one last question, not sure if this should be a new thread or not, but I can’t figure out how to change the background image in the Ethos sample page. I like the image, but the link to it in the library is not secure, so I need to add the “s” to “Http:” and I can’t find where it is pulling it from for the life of me. See the screen shot private post after this.

    Thank you again!

    Hello There,

    Thanks for updating in! The background image can be found in the section setting. In your screenshot, you are in the column settings. You will need to to go the section settings instead.

    Please let us know how it goes.

    Woohoo! That worked. I had done it in the past, but just completely forgot about that. Thank you very much!
