    Hi Team,

I have been trying to create a site using the X theme located at http://www.wallaartonderhoud.nl. Today I had the first presentation with a testgroup to see if I set the right tone with the look and feel of the site.

This was done on windows based machines using the chrome browser. Much to my distress the first header was not rendered in the correct font. I have seen this on multiple windows machines and have been able to recreate it on my own windows machine here as well. http://i.imgur.com/d3bfzJr.png

As you can see in the screenshot, the first header is rendered in a different font than the headers used in the promo, although as far as I can see, the code class is identical. The page renders correctly in IE and firefox on windows, and Chrome, firefox and safari on my mac render correctly as well.

Perhaps I am doing something wrong with your shortcodes, but I cannot find it. For reference I cut and paste the code from WP’s text editor in here:

    [content_band bg_color="#ffffff" inner_container="true"][column type="two-thirds"][custom_headline type="left" class="mtn" level="h3" looks_like="h4" accent="true"]Even voorstellen...[/custom_headline]

    [/column]
    [column type="one-third" last="true"][/column]

    [/content_band]

    [content_band no_margin="true" inner_container="true" bg_color='transparent" border="none"]

    [column type="one-third"] [promo class="man" image="http://www.wallaartonderhoud.nl/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/vakmanschap.jpg" alt="Aannemer met vakmanschap"][custom_headline type="center" class="mtn" level="h3" looks_like="h4" accent="true"]Vakmanschap[/custom_headline]
<p style="text-align: center;">Wij brengen het <strong>ambacht</strong> van de timmerwerkplaats naar moderne constructie technieken.</p>
    [/promo] [/column]

    [visibility type="visible-phone"] [gap size="3em"] [/visibility][column type="one-third"] [promo class="man" image="http://www.wallaartonderhoud.nl/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/badkamer.jpg" alt="badkamer"][custom_headline type="center" class="mtn" level="h3" looks_like="h4" accent="true"]Daadkracht[/custom_headline]
    <p style="text-align: center;">Uw problemen worden opgelost. <strong>Punt.</strong></p>
    [/promo] [/column]

    [visibility type="visible-phone"] [gap size="3em"] [/visibility][column type="one-third" last="true"] [promo class="man" image="http://www.wallaartonderhoud.nl/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/maatwerk.jpg" alt="Maatwerk"][custom_headline type="center" class="mtn" level="h3" looks_like="h4" accent="true"]Klantgericht[/custom_headline]
    <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Maatwerk</strong> maakt tevreden klanten.</p>
    [/promo] [/column][gap size="3em"]

I copied most of the shortcode from the supplied homepages in the members area, trying to work out which function did what exactly and going from there.

I was using a child theme with some custom css to control the height of the top bar and add some shadows but I disabled that theme. You are looking at the X theme (1.5.1) without any customization.

I hope you know what is going on.

    Kind regards,

    Joffrey

    Hey Joffrey,

I looked into this a little more and here’s what I was able to find.

Utilizing your provided domain, I can only replicate this error in Chrome 31 on Windows 7. Is this the same browser/OS combination that you experienced an issue with on your machine? I tested it on Windows Vista and Windows 8 as well, which appeared to work correctly.

When testing a few of our own domains across Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 in Chrome 31, everything is appearing properly.

Your shortcode markup appears to be correct and I do not see any syntax errors.

For the Typography section in the Customizer, can you confirm with me that you have a weight selected for all of your fonts? Sometimes what happens is that a use might have a font like Lato selected which has many weights (100, 300, 400, 700, and 900) and utilize a less common weight like 900, then switch to another font like Pacifico, which only has one weight (400), without ensuring that you select an appropriate weight this can create an error.

Hope that makes sense. Let me know when you have a chance.

    Thanks!

    Dear Kory,

thanks for your response. I hope you had a great Christmas.

Indeed the browser/OS combination is Chrome on windows 7. I don’t have any other windows version to test on.

I am sad to report that the problem is still with us. I have checked everything you say, as well as updated the theme to ver 1.5.2 and updated the shortcode plugin as well. I have set a font and an appropriate weight in every category, even the unused logo category.

Furthermore, when I change the font to something something completely different the same thing happens; every header gets changed except for this one.

Please let me know if you need more information.

    Cheers,

    Joffrey

I just noticed the weight of the font does change according to what is set in the customizer.

    Hey Joffrey,

Is there any chance you would mind us logging into your installation to check things out personally? As far as I can tell from inspecting your page source and from looking at your provided snippets, everything should be fine. It is even more odd that you are using the exact same shortcode down the page and those are working as expected.

If you don’t mind us doing this, please send us your login credentials via our contact form and we will look into this matter personally.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

thanks for pointing that out. Seems like there is no easy fix for that for now. But we will investigate further.
