    Hi!

I tried to make an update to my child functions.php and received an error. I removed the line and resaved, but got the same error. I then found a thread with the full original child functions.php so copied and pasted that, which basically replaced what I already had, and still get the same error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘(‘, expecting variable (T_VARIABLE) or ‘$’ in /home/hmash/public_html/wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php on line 26

Do you know what I might be doing wrong?

    Thank you!

Sorry! My mistake! My updates once I got the error were not being saved. I downloaded the file via FTP, saw my original changes, overwrote with the original child theme functions.php and all is well! 🙂 Thanks.

No worries. Happy to hear that it is working already.

Feel free to ask us again.

    Thanks.
