Hello, in a private message below I’m sending both links and screenshot links of a page on my website.

The page looks OK on every other browser (Chrome, FFox, IE, Opera) but in Safari. The price for the packages shows the dollar sign $ but not the three numbers that follow (the price). Really weird. Since the $ sign plus the three numbers are in a Custom Headline that has a <span> with some inline CSS, first I removed the inline CSS, to no avail. It seems that Safari does not like the numbers preceded by a $ sign.

Could you please take a look and suggest a solution if possible?

    Thanks,

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

From your page source I can see $100 is generated but not showing.

Did you noticed the issue? “$100”

Can we’ve your login info here as private reply? so we can check the issue from backend. Our demo page shows fine: http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/responsive-pricing-table/ in all browser by the way.

    Hi Daniel,

Makes sense to me that Safari on Windows is too much so it’s not supporting HTML5 features. Custom Headline & other shortcodes are built with HTML5 + CSS3 coding. So when we use the shortcodes the old safari doesn’t support it. For a test I tried different variations here: http://haitisailingcup.net/sample-test/

Check only first one $100 is showing in Safari (Windows), others aren’t. So, it’s you should use plain text for that pricing or don’t worry about Safari on Windows as it’s no longer popular.

Similar to how we discontinued IE8 support, we will no longer be supporting Safari 5 or older. Those browsers are now longer in Apple’s release cycle, and neither is Snow Leopard. Safari 5 is not fully HTML5 compliant, and has been known to have rendering issues with CSS3.

We’re sorry we can’t support Safari 5 in the theme itself. There may be a more permanent solution we can offer in the future, but with it being an older browser, and quite an unpopular version (http://www.w3counter.com/globalstats.php) we’re unable to focus on this right now. We’re certainly committed to making X the best it can be in modern browsers and devices!

    Thanks for understanding. Take care!
