Hi.
I used to work just fine on my dev site but for some reason i couldn’t update neither X nor the plugins. so i revoked my old license (both here and on the dev site directly) and activated the site using the purchase code. the problem didn’t go away though. i manually updated the site to 4.4.1 and tried updating the plugins again but can’t. if i try to install one from scratch it just remains on “installing” and doesn’t ever finishes. and when i try to update i get this: http://prntscr.com/apbzxe
How can i solve this (and why did it happen)?

I’ve taken a look, and this is an issue with how X works on multisite. Because X is a theme, there’s no way for it’s code to run at the network level. This means we can’t automatically install Cornerstone, and you may have issues running auto updates. This is something we will be investigating to see if there’s a better way to manage it.
For now, it will be best to update X and Cornerstone manually: https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/
While I was logged in, I tried to install the latest version of Cornerstone for you, but it looks like the folder already exists on the server. We could take a closer look at why that’s present, but the plugin isn’t registering, but we’d need FTP access.
April 8, 2016 at 6:11 am #872637The plugin isn’t registering because the theme tries to install cornerstone automatically but then it just stops in the middle of the process and throws an error (some file missing, or “package not found”) so wordpress won’t show it to prevent any further errors from happening.
I suppose there’s no need to keep you busy with this, although i could be your guinea pig if you want, just say the words! (after all this is just one of the dev sites i have, so you won’t be keeping me from working normally at all!).
April 8, 2016 at 7:47 pm #873534Sure, we’ll continue checking. Though, this might be harder because themes aren’t active or can’t be activated on network admin where the updates are usually done.
April 9, 2016 at 4:18 am #873934Hope you solve that problem as soon as possible. it’s way easier (and faster) to test multiple sites on a multisite install rather than on different individual sites.
Thanks for the support by the way. top notch as always.

Thanks!
