When I export a slider, it exports as a file, not a zip. When I create a zip from the file and import it, I get an error message: “importing slider setings and data…
Error: slider_export.txt does not exist!If I import the slider_export.txt from the file, the slideshow is created without the images. This is partly explained by the following, which I found on a support site:
http://codecanyon.net/item/slider-revolution-responsive-wordpress-plugin/2751380/comments?page=148
there are two art of Export Files.
a, the 4 Export Examples which we included in the Download package under the exports folder. These files are the latest examples, which we show in our latest preview also. These are ZIP based, and import all settings, images, slider etc.
b, the export files done in preversions of the slider by other authors, customers. These Slider are txt and style file based. Here you will need to unzip the export file, and import the txt file only first. Than copy paset the style into the Global Styles in one of the Slide Editor to have the Style of the slide also. here you will not get the Images importedI’ve also read this:
http://www.themepunch.com/home/uncategorized/impor…I’m using the latest version of the slider, ver. 4.3.8, on wordpress ver. 3.9.1, using the X Theme. I’m using a Mac and I’ve tried different browsers.
Because I am using the latest version of the slider, shouldn’t it be possible to export and import as complete zips, with images included, etc.?
Thanks for your assistance. (Love your theme!)
July 25, 2014 at 8:30 am #73424Hi Steve,
Thank you for writing in!
I have just checked exporting a slider in my local setup, and it is exporting as complete zip file including the images. Can you try creating a new slider and adding images, etc. After that try exporting it. If it exports a .zip file then you will know that your slides were created in older version of Revolution Slider.
Otherwise if it doesn’t, would you mind providing us your WordPress credentials and FTP (just in case if we need to look into the backend files) so that we can take a more closer look to the issue?
Cheers!

September 12, 2014 at 11:11 am #103640Hi YarlMoment,
Thanks for writing in!
This is an old post from Steve, since then several version of X theme & it’s accessories have been released with much improvements. At first make sure you’re latest the version of X (v.2.4.0), X Shortcodes plugin (v2.3.5), Revolution Slider Plugin (v4.1.3). If yes, then please create a new thread of your own & then share your login info as private reply there, so you can see private replies.

Thank you for giving us your admin credentials.
Would you mind giving us a link where we can download the slider zip file so we can try it in our local and check the problem?September 2, 2015 at 1:12 pm #376916Hi there,
i am having the same problem. When i export a slide i get a zip file that is no actual zipfile. It is a txt exported as a zip and it reads:
{"success":false,"message":"No response output on <b> export_slider <\/b> action. please check with the developer."}

Thanks for writing in! Try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know if the problem remains!
October 5, 2015 at 10:04 am #611365I’m having the same issue. I just loaded the latest version of X on a new domain and I’m trying to download the sliders from a staging site. The staging site is totally up to date. It simply downloads as a file rather than compressed zip file.
October 5, 2015 at 10:26 am #611394Hi there gstertz,
Hope you’re well today!
I’ve just tested this on my own install and it’s downloading as a zip file. Would it be possible for you to post your wp-admin details please in a private reply?
Thank you!

I just tried doing the same thing in Chrome and it worked just fine. Not sure why but that seems to be the issue.
October 5, 2015 at 10:47 am #611438Hi there gstertz,
Thanks for the additional information. I’ve just checked in Safari on mine and it works ok there, but it could be you have Safari to auto unzip on download which is what it defaults to.
Open Safari->Preferences->General
Uncheck “Open Safe Files After Downloading” And it should work in Safari then as well. 🙂Thanks!
October 5, 2015 at 11:22 am #611518Thank you very much! Works just as you’ve said.
