September 26, 2014 at 4:20 pm #113463Hi there,
You can use a similar plugin like Password Protected (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/password-protected/) for this.
Thanks

Please check out our Protected Content Shortcode as it was created for just that purpose.
Cheers!
January 29, 2015 at 9:24 am #194407hi, thanks looks good, but the problem is that people can then go to my backend of wordpress and mess around with the account i created for that purpose, even though i only give them the subscribers access.
any other idea, that i only have one page, that contains whatever is locked through a password?thanks
January 30, 2015 at 4:43 am #195051Hey There,
With subscriber access the can’t touch any of your WordPress settings, they only have a profile page and that’s all they have.
January 30, 2015 at 5:57 am #195119but they have the possibility to change their login credentials. i dont want that.
January 30, 2015 at 8:07 pm #195721Hi Alan,
That’s all we could suggest 🙂 , we’re only limited to current X’s feature.
You can check this http://wpgyan.com/how-to-password-protect-wordpress-pages-or-full-site/ , wordpress has it’s own password protect feature.
Thanks!
