    hi,
is there an option to set a homepage private, to unlock it you have to type in a password.
    a plugin maybe?

    help is appreciated!

    Hi there,

You can use a similar plugin like Password Protected (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/password-protected/) for this.

    Thanks

    Hi Alan,

Please check out our Protected Content Shortcode as it was created for just that purpose.

    Cheers!

hi, thanks looks good, but the problem is that people can then go to my backend of wordpress and mess around with the account i created for that purpose, even though i only give them the subscribers access.
any other idea, that i only have one page, that contains whatever is locked through a password?

    thanks

    Hey There,

With subscriber access the can’t touch any of your WordPress settings, they only have a profile page and that’s all they have.

    Hi Alan,

That’s all we could suggest 🙂 , we’re only limited to current X’s feature.

You can check this http://wpgyan.com/how-to-password-protect-wordpress-pages-or-full-site/ , wordpress has it’s own password protect feature.

    Thanks!
