Hi,
I got the error from my JavaScript debugger.
I believe that error is preventing the customizer from working.August 18, 2014 at 2:02 am #86680But I have no scripts or plugins installed apart from recommended ones. And one additional plugin, rustolat. It changes cyrillyc urls to latin ones. I don’t think it’s the issue.
August 18, 2014 at 2:23 am #86695By the way, I send you my login details to my site in other thread. So maybe you could check it out for that issue too?
August 18, 2014 at 2:40 am #86701Hi,
Please try to deactivate the plugin rustolat and see if the customizer will work.
So that we’ll know if that is the one causing the problem.Thanks.
August 18, 2014 at 2:58 am #86708I deactivated the plugin, but it didn’t help. Any suggestions?
August 18, 2014 at 3:05 am #86711By the way, Customizer worked for the first time lanched it. But after I saved the settings, it doesn’t work.
August 18, 2014 at 3:07 am #86712Hi,
Thanks, you may activate the plugin back.
Can you try moving all widgets to inactive widgets
then see if the customizer will work. Some special character on your widgets title & content is causing the problem.
August 18, 2014 at 4:09 am #86733Well, I had a widget only here: http://take.ms/snalB
And now it disappeared again.
I don’t understand what is happening. Can you please check this out and help me to resolve widgets disappearing and Customizer issues?
I sent you all my details. You can log into my site and see for yourself.
August 18, 2014 at 5:33 am #86754Hi,
Yes you might have entered a special character on that widget that is causing the error.
As requested above please try to delete that sidebar. Thanks
August 18, 2014 at 6:19 am #86766I didn’t use any special characters. Just normal Cyrillic characters. But okay, I deleted the sidebar. And I still can’t get your Customizer to work.
The worst experience with the premium WP theme ever.
August 18, 2014 at 6:21 am #86768And I didn’t use any special characters in widget. Russian characters aren’t special characters, for you to note. I just added custom menu widget to the sidebar. Then refreshed the page. And it disappeared.
August 18, 2014 at 7:01 am #86781Hi,
I apologize that it is still not working and I understand that Russian characters aren’t special characters.
I was able to fix the customizer. I deleted the sidebar that is causing the problem.
The generated id of the sidebar was the problem. I am not sure how it got that problematic id.
You may add the sidebar again, maybe with a different name.
Thanks.
