On 2 of my website pages (the homepage in 2 different languages) when i am trying to preview the changes after editing them, the browser shows other page of my site, not the homepage.

    I am editing this http://www.streetmode.gr/

And the preview goes to that http://www.streetmode.gr/en/all/street-mode-festival-history/

Please reply ASAP it is an emergency!!!

    Hey there,

Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If that doesn’t help, please keep all third party plugins disabled and give us WordPress admin and FTP access.

    Thanks.

Because this happened after updating 3 plugins, disabling the plugins was the first thing I thought, but this didn’t change anything… I cannot remember the plugins, I don’t have much (10) I send you a print screen.

I cannot disable all the plugins because without the Polylang plugin the whole site looks a mess. Also this site is about a festival and I am not allowed to bring it down, even for a while…

Is there a way just to go back in time? either the plugins or the site?

    Hi There,

You can clone your site in another in another installation and run the tests.

But I reccomend you turning off one plugin by one, cleaning cache, see if it influences and than turning on again if you find that the plugin is not affecting the wesbite, this tests can be done in seconds and would be the best solution for the moment.

    Thanks

I used this plugin to clear the cache, doing what you said, the plugin that it seems to have the problem is the Polylang. But If I deactivate it the whole site looks a mess.

    Hello There,

Thanks for updating this thread! The cache is generated by a caching plugin. The caching plugin will always have a feature that you can clear the plugin cache. In addition to that since you are using SiteGround, could you please disable the supercacher in your hosting panel? The SuperCacher is developed by SiteGround exclusively for their customers. It increases the number of hits a site can handle and boosts the website loading speed. The SuperCacher includes 4 different caching options for maximum optimization of your websites. You can access the tool by clicking on the SuperCacher icon in your cPanel.

For more information about this, please check it out here: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/supercacher/supercacher_intro.htm

    Hope this helps.

    WordPress 4.5.3
    X Theme 4.4.2
    Cornerstone 1.3.0

I am afraid to update the X Theme because I have made a lot of customization, through your theme link, Appearance -> customize etc

On your update note says “Any customizations you have made to theme files will be lost.”

    Hello There,

Please make a site backup in your hosting server. And then you can also backup your customizer settings by downloading the XCS file in X Addons > Customizer Manager. As long as you have used a child theme and made sure that all your theme’s template customizations were done in the child theme, you can update the theme safely.

Please check out our knowledge base regarding updates:

    Hope this would helps.

OK, I need some extra help please!
To back up the site I downloaded the sql file and made a zip of the whole site on my public_html directory, the same directory which is now, in case I have to delete it and extract the zip.
    Is there anything else?

I downloaded the json file from the Customizer Manager, I guess I import it right back there after the update?
Sorry for the questions but I have never done it before.
