Hi,
I am having some real time consuming issue here with RS. I have an odd ratio video (16:7). I want it to be full width of the entire page… accomplished no problem. I want it to be automatic for height so that it always scale to the correct aspect ratio. All this seems to be working. Alas, no matter what method I use in the RS plugin, the video is always zoomed in a lot. The biggest headache is that the video has hardcoded text. This text is being cut off on the edges. Please tell me what I need to do to set the video correctly so that it maintains aspect ratio AND does not zoom in the video.
Thanks.
Tony

Thanks for posting in.
I can’t fully check it as it always display 500 Server error. But I’m able to re-create another slider, would you mind testing that?
Thanks!
April 3, 2016 at 4:57 am #864538I tried your version. Hard to say if it is 100% ok, it seems to work when sizing the desktop window, but I can’t test it on iPad or iPhone as it will not play. Not sure why. Any ideas?
As for the 500 server error, that’s been happening quite a bit. Not sure why. A refresh seems to load things ok.
Thanks
April 3, 2016 at 8:44 pm #865203Hi there,
It’s a setting of your video layer. I went ahead and changed it. It should be playable on mobile now.
And, you should save your settings multiple times, every action triggers 500 server error. Hence, there are case that your changes aren’t saved.
Thanks!
April 4, 2016 at 8:29 pm #866895Hi Rad,
Oddly, it still isn’t working on mobile so I can’t check function on devices. I don’t have any trouble accessing the slider I made, and it works on iPad. Can you suggest the setting I may be missing to make it scale and maintain aspect. From what I can see, I have all of it checked properly, it just won’t do it.As for saving, I save every slide before moving to the next. Do you think it would help if I bought, licensed, and registered the plugin. The one bundled with X doesn’t allow that.
Thanks,

Thanks for writing back.
I’ve just checked this for you and all the settings are definitelt correct, its also re-sizing correctly for me across all devices, would you mind letting us know which mobile you are using and which browser on the mobile? We can then try and emulate that for testing. 🙂
Regarding the purchasing of a license for Revolution Slider, that’s entirely up to you, no functionality is removed from the version bundled with X.
Thank you!
April 6, 2016 at 10:06 pm #870450Sorry for the delay. Just checked on my iPhone 5 running 9.2.1
Still get no function with video. Don’t have my iPad atm.April 7, 2016 at 11:44 am #871481Hi Anthony,
Thanks for writing back.
I have checked using on an iPhone 5 and here is how it looks like on my end:
Just to be clear, is the issue you are having is the video does not play on iPhones at all? Because we have purposely disabled video layers on mobile and poster images would display instead just like what I am currently seeing at the moment.
April 7, 2016 at 9:19 pm #872189That would be a problem. As I stated above, it won’t play on iphone or ipad. I just went in and checked this setting on your video slider (vidslider_x) and it does not seem to be enabled (unless there are 2 settings in different locations – I checked on the layer). Still, no function on devices.
So I decided to create a new slider (vidslider_y) by following your layout. I still am not clear where the problem is that created the zoom levels in my first video versus your video slider and now my new one – so this thread won’t offer much support to anyone with the same issue. However, the problem seems to be fixed now. The video scales properly, I can see all of the video content, and I can play on iphone/ipad.
Thanks for the layout and support.
